Disinfection Powder – Chemi-Pharm Chemides Pulver – 1000 g

CHEMIDES POWDER is a hygroscopic sporicidal powder, completely soluble in water. When dissolved, it releases active oxygen and, together with the activator, forms peracetic acid, providing powerful disinfecting and sporicidal properties. The product is environmentally safe, as its active substances decompose into water and oxygen.

CHEMIDES POWDER effectively eliminates Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, fungi, viruses (including HBV, HIV, rotavirus, adenovirus) and spores. It is intended for high-level disinfection and cleaning of reusable medical instruments and equipment such as endoscopes, bronchoscopes, laparoscopes, endotracheal tubes, anaesthesia and dental instruments.

The activated solution is clear and transparent, allowing visual control during processing. Let the solution stand for 15 minutes for full activation. The product does not alter the appearance of surfaces and requires no rinsing.
Compatible with all major medical-device materials, except copper, tin, bronze, brass and aluminium. The prepared solution remains usable throughout the working day when stored in a closed container.

Use and dosage:
To prepare the working solution, dissolve 17.5 g of CHEMIDES POWDER per 1 litre of water (one measuring spoon or sachet).

1. Add 17.5 g of powder to 1 litre of warm water (30–35 °C).

2. Stir until fully dissolved (2–3 minutes).

3. Allow to stand for 15 minutes to activate.

4. Apply the solution to surfaces or immerse instruments.

5. Wipe, spray or soak as required.

6. Exposure time – 15 minutes.

7. After treatment, rinse instruments with running or sterile water if needed. Surfaces do not require rinsing.

8. Replace the solution every 8 hours or earlier if it changes colour or clarity. To verify activity, use peracetic-acid test strips (acceptable > 1000 ppm after 8 hours).

Follow device manufacturer instructions for disinfection methods.

Precautions:
Harmful if swallowed. Causes serious eye damage.
Do not eat, drink or smoke while handling the product. Store in its original packaging in a cool, dry place. Close tightly after use.
If swallowed – seek medical advice or contact a poison centre.
If in eyes – rinse with water for several minutes, remove contact lenses if present, rinse again.
Dispose of contents and container in accordance with local regulations.
