Chemi-Sept G – skin antiseptic, 250 ml spray

Chemisept G is a colorless, ethanol-based product designed for preoperative antiseptic treatment of the skin. It has broad fungicidal and bactericidal activity, eliminating Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (including tuberculosis pathogens and fungi), and effectively inactivates both enveloped and non-enveloped viruses (HBV, HIV, rota- and adenoviruses).

Features
Formulated with pure, low-volatile ethanol to reduce the risk of respiratory irritation. Thanks to a long-acting disinfectant, the product creates an unfavorable environment for microorganisms for up to 3 hours, after which the skin’s normal microflora is quickly restored. The product is non-irritating to the skin and, being colorless, is also suitable for use during cosmetic procedures.

Directions for use

• Preoperative skin preparation
Treat the surgical site with Chemisept G using forceps and a sterile swab soaked in the product. Apply twice, each time for 1.5 minutes. Total exposure time — 3 minutes. Incision drape may be applied only on dry skin.
— For aseptic surgery, start from the planned incision site and move outward.
— For septic surgery, start from the periphery toward the infected area.

• Skin antisepsis before injection and blood sampling
Moisten the area with a swab strip, then repeat with a new strip and allow to dry. Exposure time — 30 seconds.

• Skin antisepsis before intra-articular injection, puncture, arthroscopy, and cannulation
Treat the skin with a moistened swab, then repeat with a new swab. Exposure time — 30 seconds.

Effectiveness against viruses
Tested against BVDV (HCV surrogate), Vaccinia, Adeno, Rota, Herpes simplex. Proven effective against all enveloped viruses, including HBV, HCV, HIV, as well as Orthomyxoviridae (incl. influenza virus H5N1) and Herpesviridae.

• Contains a biocide — follow safety regulations.
• Highly flammable liquid and vapor.
• Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames.
• Do not smoke.
• Store in a tightly closed container in a cool, well-ventilated place.

• Quaternary ammonium compounds (benzyl-C12-18-alkyldimethyl chlorides and C12-14-alkyl[(ethylphenyl)methyl]dimethyl chlorides) — 0.1 g (active substance)
